Where will the ID. Up be built, and does it use the same technical platform as the larger ID.2?
Production of the ID. Up will be located at the VW plant in Palmela (Portugal). Contrary to initial assumptions, the car does not share the complete platform with the ID.2: only the front section up to the A-pillar is identical. The ID. Up gets a shorter wheelbase, its own rear axle and different motors, and is expected to use a cheaper LFP blade battery.
